I’m a user and developer of Open Source software including Linux and many applications. I started using Unix more than 25 years ago while in the Navy and then moved to Linux about 20 years ago. I feel everyone should have the right to do what they want with their software and not have their hands tied by companies like Microsoft and Apple and their Closed Source, proprietary software.

I’m also a Freelance web consultant. I love building a web presence for small companies, non-profit organizations, churches and schools. My tools of choice are Linux, WordPress, the Genesis Framework and many other Open Source design tools and applications. If you have a Linux question or project, I would love to help with that, too.

I’m a Democratic Socialist, bicycle commuter, Vegetarian, animal lover and earth lover. I’ve been called a tree hugging, peace loving Liberal. I always thank them for the compliment (even though it’s not usually meant as one).

I’m married and we’re lucky to have two wonderful children, a great dog, a great cat and a roof over our heads.
